Most of the controls on the power seat have stopped working. I'd like to clean the contacts, but I don't want to break anything taking the control module out and taking it apart. How does it come out of the seat and how do you access the contacts once it is out?

    On the left side under the switch is two bolts that hold the switch in. I find it easier to remove the seat bolts and tilt seat toward the back and disconnect the switch completely. Then proceed to a nice clean table top and carefully take it apart. I think you will find burnt switch contacts, clean with a fine grade of sandpaper and use silicone grease on the slides and contact points.

        I agree with Paulii, but emphasize that there are little parts in the switches, and a spring or two, that will go flying. And, some switches are so burnt they can't be repaired, so be ready to seek some at the JY. Pass side will have gotten less wear, usually.
