3 pin IAC -- what years 200 1983

Had the high idle(about 1500-1800 rpm) Removed the IAC and tested it. It has the 3 pins. Outer to outer pins were 41 ohms. Center pin to outer pin got nothing. I assumed it is dead. What years used the 3 pin IAC, so i can get one at the junk yard. I am bypassing the IAC by feathering the pedal when in neutral, works fine.
Thanks

Center pin is negative the outer pins are positive. Test with 12 volts, if the vane opens and closes it is OK.

If you can read the part number, go to rockauto.com and you can do a part number search. When you find the right one, click on the part number and it will show what yr/model used that number. If no luck, call FCPgroton, those guys are pretty helpful. Here's what pulls up from my 85 740 on rockauto:(mine is 3pin)

Another Thing: 200 1983

You should be able to disassemble that one and clean it. It may not be dead, just poor contacts. In the FAQs
