Quality Seat covers

Friends at the Brickboard:

I'd like to get some quality seat covers for the front seats of both my '91 240 sedan and '91 740 wagon. Are there any recommendations for durability, comfort, and fit? I've used the ipd covers in the past on previous Volvos, but they've been discontinued.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Quality Seat covers

Used original seat covers are by far the best, a little work but you probably need to add support under the foam anyway. I get them from the junk yard but they show up on ebay as well

... what pageda says ...

Your local yunkyard, the passenger side cover, foam, and such are not as used. The cloth cover can be cleaned, stitch, and such.

You may also want to retie the seat springs for support, at least on the 240. Verify the lumbar support and such are good. You can verify the bun warmer for the seat and seat back are in fine fettle and retie conductor. RV or Marine Goops can help, just clean off the dirt and scum and roughen smooth surfaces.

cheers,

Sitting MacDuff.
