FWD wheels on a RWD car? 900 1993

This is probably a stupid question, but is it remotely possible to use late model FWD cars on a RWD car. I've got a 1993 940 Turbo wagon with two bent 10-spoke alloys and have a chance to pick up a set from either a V70 or a 2007 S60 for very little with tires. Main difference seems to be the offset which is about 40mm on the FWD cars and about 25 mm on the RWD cars.

What the junkyards want for these wheels is ridiculous at about $145. The FWD alloys are in the local CL and have tires mounted, as well.

You will need the appropriate spacers, I've definitely seen some fwd wheels on rwd vehicles. Maybe looks on turbobricks.

No. All the later Volvos (240-on) except the S40 with 4 lug nuts, are 5X108mm bolt circle. But as the OP seems to realize, spacers are needed to mount FWD/AWD or the later 960 wheels on a 240/740/940 car so the wheels and tires clear the suspension parts.
