Nice Parts Website/Source - www.volvooemparts.com

I recently purchased some hard to find parts for my 1983 242 at http://www.volvooemparts.com and want people to know that their website is really good with exploded parts diagrams and other info. They also allow searches for models back to 1975 which is unusual online. The folks there responded rapidly and accurately to my queries via email. And their prices were about half the price quoted me by my local dealer's parts department - which is also a great resource and deserves at least some of my business. If there was a way to search by VIN (which I think the dealer can do) that would be useful. Anyhow, enjoy!

A battery for $42?

http://www.volvooemparts.com/p/Volvo_1984_24023l-Fuel-Injected4DRS-SR/Battery/42840602/1235719.html

Is it for a Volvo car or a Volvo RC? At least it appears to make use of the stock battery hold-down system.

This site looks quite similar. One thing I immediately note is that the model years you can select from in searches are not a extensive. I did check here for my parts order and did actually find the part (by searching for the part number which I found elsewhere). The price was actually $1-2 lower than I paid. However, I sent some email questions and the other site replied quickly. I never heard anything from this outfit. Just my $0.02. Cheers!

"...did actually find the part (by searching for the part number which I found elsewhere)."
• Yes, that's how I do it – start with a part number.

"However, I sent some email questions and the other site replied quickly. I never heard anything from this outfit."
• Was that other site's quick e-mail reply on a Sunday?

Lucid,

as I posted on the other thread.

I've not yet inquired about the availability of one. But this is the only site I ever seen that lists a Rebuilt M47...Exchange priced at $1400.
