radio reset? 900 1993

Over the winter, my battery was really low, so this spring I charged it up and works fine now. HOWEVER, the low battery must have triggered the radio to go "off".

I have the code to reset, but so far I am not having any luck. It just wants to be "off". The manual says to let it set for a few hours and try again. Been there, done that. Any ideas?

Are you sure the code you have is correct? A dealer should be able to supply you with the code when shown the car's serial number - some dealers may require proof of ownership. Is the radio the original? -- Dave

Yes I have the correct code. I used it before when I had the battery replaced. I don't know why it does not work now unless there is something electrical that happened to the radio during the winter (when I don't drive it).

Is there some magic, like make sure the radio is turned off before star6ing the car, then turn the radio on and enter the code???? I have the original owners manual and I "think" I am following the instructions correctly.

radio reset? *figured out* 900 1993

After my last reply..I thought about the power a bit. Seems like the engine has to be OFF, but aux power on. Set the code and now it works!

Tricky, no?
