Hello All,

Just wanted to drop a line to say 'hi' and give a brief status update on my '58 444 - aka Old Lady. She's doing great! I installed the headliner in the fall - by myself (wow, that was fun!) - and got the sun visor's chrome bases re-plated. I also installed the Yankee Bars on front and rear. She's running great except for a little rattling of the driveshaft (?) when going around turns... not sure what that's all about. Will probably have her checked out in the late Spring/early Summer.

I'm trying to arrange a little PV gathering in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area, if anyone is interested. Thinking one Saturday in early May. Something small - a parking lot, grill, hot-dogs, etc. Anyone interested?

Attached is an updated pic of the Old Lady, and yes, if anyone is still interested, I'm still working on the 444 restoration book. My latest goal is to get it finished by Summertime.

That car is absolutely gorgeous!!

May I ask...what was the cost of the actual painting? And what type of paint did you go with (old school enamel stuff or modern clearcoat)? Just a range would be good, if you don't want to put a specific number on it. I have to start considering this for mine.
