It's been a while since I have been on here and I hope all you guys are doing well.
The problem I am having is that the wipers do not work in any position except the full speed position. On top of that they will not stop in the parked position when you turn them off. You have to turn them off when the wipers are in the parked area-timing it just right, which is tricky.
Today I checked for any corrosion at the motor connector and it's separate ground wire coming from that harness. I opened up the front plate on the motor and checked for corrosion on the contacts. I cleaned things even though it really didn't need it and it didn't help.
Can this problem be at the relay at the driver's foot? Didn't have time to check that out as it was getting dark out. Also, if someone could tell me what pins on the connector to check voltages I would like to do that.
For the last bit of info, this motor is OEM and is somewhat new-I installed it this past December. I received it along with some parts that came from an 87 240 someone locally was parting out. The wiper motor was on the car with the old motor in a blue Volvo box in the trunk.
The Scantech wiper motor that I installed two years ago crapped out. After I removed the Scantech motor I opened it up and the plastic brush holders along most of the other parts in that area were totally burnt up and melted together.
