Weird relay in ignition switch wiring - what circuit is it in? 700 1990

Howdy folks. In tearing apart my dash to do the heater core, I noticed I have an added-in relay spliced into my ignition switch's wiring.

It's a standard 30-amp fuse made by bosch, 0332204150 and it's an SPDT relay, so it's always running power to one pole or another (87 or 87a in this case).

Anyway, it's wired into my ignition switch, and I have no idea why. I'm not sure if it should even exist there. It's spliced in on two wires, with two others coming off of it cut.
It's spliced in on the Red/green and Pink wires. The cut wires coming off of it are grey and green.

I guess what I want to know is what are these wires for? The R/G is about a 14 or 16 gauge wire. There are some solid red wires that are like 12awg, but I'm not talking about those.

At least ... I think that wiring bundle goes to the ignition switch. O.o

Wondering if it went to an after market security system that long since died?

If there are only two wires on it now, I am assuming they pick up the coil when the ignition switch is on.

I also assume the contact went to an accessory that has been disconnected.

So I'll bet it does nothing now. Does it click when the ignition is turned on?

I've tried a lot of things to get it to click, and none of them have worked. Key positions, headlights, horn, hazards, etc. Everything but the dash controls.

It seems like it serves no purpose but to add extra connections to the wiring, which I don't like.
