Perhaps a bit rich in asking, but if it checks out, you can enjoy it for a year and then I'll be glad to drop down from AK and take it off your hands next year for a cross-country road trip. Yess.... it will all work out perfectly!

    Yes, some communities like brick board and others... things like this seem possible.

    Mrs. Z is dreaming of an east-coast to west tour next year - hence randomly trolling the lists over that away.

      Heck, when you get down to the West Coast, get a nice, rust-free example of a 245, and drive it to the East Coast, and leave from there. Selling a clean 245 on the East coast should be a breeze, and just about pay for your fuel used. Or you can give Art the option of buying it from you(!), or taking a commission on handling the sale, if he's willing.

    Hi Zack,

    Swinging a deal like what you describe seems possible in an enthusiast community like ours...

    Seriously, you would do well to search the PNW area. A bit closer, full of boxy volvos still un-rusty. And, if you, like me, prefer a 2-series, more choices.
