I found a guy willing to rebuild heater valve. I got a bunch done for several of us (to get a bit of a discount). I have listed an extra one up on ebay. This is the rarer, 444 (445) and early 544 one. (This is the one with out a capillary tube).

These have not been available new for decades and most other ones are rusted away to nothing....

    Agent Strangelove I had mine refurbished in SAN DEAGIO for about £25 each when I was visiting my brother-in law in Calgary,I had six done It's only the rubber seal that goes,one thing he WONT do is the capillary tube for he say's the license for mercury filling is not worth the money. BUT I cannot remember his name I just went on the net for heater valves, hope this helps.
