1990 740 wagon, the farthest hood lock releases but the closest (driver side ) doesn't let go, I've taken the adjustment screw to both extremes but it doesn't work.
I also disconnected the cable from the red lever in the driver foot well and pulled the cable with vise grips, the outer lock releases as usual but the driver side won't let go. Apparently the cable isn't broken.
Had this car for 8 yrs now, I've noticed over time the cable became slacker and that one side (drivers) always got hung up but I could always just pull it up to get at the release lever in the middle of the hood.

Tried looking up under the bumper, can't see squat up there.

Yeh I did see the FAQ, ended up buying a LONG screwdriver but couldn't see the catch from underneath.

So I popped the trim from under the headlight, then popped the indicator light out, then pulled the headlight, from there its possible to release it with a screwdriver.
Once opened I pulled it all out and examined to see how it works and I was able to see how it can be done from under the car by going up the side of the radiator.

Still have to fix it though.
