Jumper wires. 200

Had a jumper wire between fuse 4 and 6 on 1991 240. The clips on the ends of the jumper got extremely hot. Is that normal??

No. A connection hot enough to burn your finger is poor, meaning the contact or the wire is introducing high resistance. Are you using something like those colored jumpers 10 to a pack from Radio Shack or equivalent? They are made for no more than about 1 Ampere and that's pushing it.

Thanks Art. You are correct. I was using some thin gauge wires with alligator clips on each end and it was getting extremely hot. I will try to test using a heavier gauge wire.
