Heater core: Looking for all metal replacement 700 1992

It would appear that there is a heater core replacement in my future.

Has anyone found a source for an all metal replacement other than Volvo?

Randy

Good question... Given the work involved, I would be tempted to spend $$$ on the highest quality core available. Four Seasons used to get great ratings, not sure these days. And btw, since switching to Zerex G-05, none of our fleet have had any heater core issues.

I use G05 in two of our cars but haven't switched the others. There really isn't any reason to stick with the green.

I don't remember doing any other than drain the green, fill the system with water and then drain that before putting G05 50/50 in the system- no special flushing required. Is that correct as far as you know?

No need to flush, but do use distilled water for the new coolant makeup water. Especially if you live in Flint....
