I was on my was to drop off a crankshaft to be reground and stopped in a junkyard to have a look around. There were no 240s or 740s, but they had just picked up a 940 that looked to be mostly intact, dent is driver's side rear door, broken front DS turn signal lens, ABS light was on, but had a new ABS unit installed. Guy said it ran good. ~250,000 miles.

They also had a selection of FWD cars, mostly P1 S70 and S80, and probably a P2 S80 (didn't look too hard for the ID tag).

For you vintage buffs, they also had an AMC Pacer...

    Dear riverbend,

Hope you're well. In the wilds of Minnesota, road salt likely has claimed most of the 240s and the earlier 740s. The 940s and later products are pretty rust-resistant, especially if - when thaws occur - the underbody is washed to remove salt/sand, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Yours faithfully,

    Spook
