mini accumulator above the regina fuel pump??? -- torn seal -- what to do?? 900 1993

SO i'm changing the fuel pump in my 93 regina wagon. I managed to get the assembly out and begin taking it apart and the mini-accumulator / damper above the fuel pump seems to have a tear in one of the red seals. perhaps this was the cause of my loss of power???

anyway... are there any specs on this baby?? are replacements available? can i just bypass it and connect the high pressure hose directly to the pump?? i suppose i could try and source some new silicone bushings??

The seal is definitely torn... looks like this isnt getting finished tonight.

thanks all

\matt

I've done this a couple of times, but recently sold my 93 regina wagon. I assume you are just replacing the pump. I can't recall what this looks like, but you may need to get a new sender assy ($$$) or find one in the boneyard. I might try Voluparts in Atlanta as they have mega amounts of Volvo stuff (no relation to them). Of course, you may have solved by now....

After digging up a few old posts in the search I determined that it was acceptable to repalce the in-line accumulator with a section of submersible fuel line. All fixed! thanks for the voluparts tip. always looking for new sources!
