Rear differential seeping... 200 1991

All,

My 1991, 240, with about 179k on the clock has just gotten this summer all new rotors, pads, shoes, lines, and clutch, and I must say is running quite nicely!

While doing the clutch I noticed that the rear diff is seeping out of the diff where the drivers side shaft comes into the diff.

So tonight I pulled the plastic tube off and blew through that and no obstructions. Then I pulled the plug, put the tube back on and blew again.

I blew several times, but only the first time did I hear anything that might have been a blockage dislodge itself into the shaft.

I intend to keep an eye on this as time progresses.

Thoughts any one?

Matt

So That's how you spell that. I've used the word,I've done the actual act of that word very often. Usually when trying to get a siphon going. I just never saw it on paper before.

The good news is I don't drive it alot so I don't believe much harm if anything has come of it.

While doing the parking brake shoes I did not notice any seeping at the end seals, so hopefully I've caught it in time so as not to get any worse.

We shall see!

Now on to the suspension!

At this rate I might have her all fixed up before I retire!

Matt
