Just found a uncracked 1993 dashboard and thinking to replace my 1991 with it.

Will it fit like without problems ?

Do I need to take also the driver side knee protection pad just below ?

put a 92 dash in my 89. The driver's knee bolster was different so took that, too. Perfect fit

1990 and up came with the knee pad. I guess you took the bracket and all the hardware. I know on the 90+ there are 1 or 2 welded nuts on that underside dash frame. Did you also take newer style hood release handle?

The dash should fit no problem . Your 91 should already have the driver knee bolster.

hi sages - this is one problem which i am surprised no one has devised a reasonably priced solution to fix. been wrenching tanks since 65 and most cars since at least 69 have had these kinds of dashes. they cost a fortune to fix when they become cracked or blistered. one joint in cal wants 3 g's to repair..that outfit in clipcity whose name i have deleted to protect the guilty , must think they are in the dealership league. are you surprised low priced alternatives have not been developed in near 50 years. seems a plastigoop like material which you ladle on with a spatula and then smooth and sand like wall spackle or bondo to make bullet holes disappear would be on the market by now. anybody have a low buck solution? thanks tons oldduke

Yeah, plastic surgery is expensive. Be sure you get references; talk to former patients, don't just flip through the brochures. Start at the car shows. This is the season.

Hiya Uncle Art and Uncle Folks,

Don't forget, 1992 and up have two extra screw at the top of the center console thingy just above the cigarette lighter socket to the left and just above the safety belt red glow light to the right.

It was a surprise when I poorly replaced the windshield and did (I hope good with the POR-15, tho my paint skill suck) rust repair under it (before glass install).

Though I misplaced these two screws, and the 1992 center console dash has gone without for all this time to date.
