Need a trailer hitch for my 960.... 900

Has anyone tried a Curt 12213 hitch? Just wondering how well it fits, or if there are any quality issues. I need to be able to pull my utility trailer and an occasional small boat.

I would also recommend Draw-tite hitches.

Dear Mr. Weekend,

Hope you're well. A U-Haul Draw-tite Hitch (No. 36195) will fit easily. I've installed this model on 940s, without any problems. The max weight is 3,500 pounds.

A section of "skirting" at the bottom of the bumper cover will have to be removed, or notched, if not removed.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook

I'm doing great, Spook, thanks! Looking at the draw-tite I'm sure the bumper would have to be cut, not sure I want to do that. The Curt unit ($155 delivered) doesn't require surgery on the bumper, but then again the receiver may end up scraping the pavement at times. Thanks for the input, guys!

A car that I used to have and gave to my daughter, a 1998 V90, had a hitch that did not need the bumper modified and I never had it to drag.

I bought the Curt, it fit very well, doesn't drag, and no cutting required except for a little bit trimmed off of the muffler heat shield. The price was very reasonable. It amazes me how well the 960 pulls a 19 ft Carolina Skiff.
