While driving my 1989 244 for the first time in quite some time, the overdrive dropped out. I found that the transmission fluid level was low. It was barely on the dipstick.
As the one remaining souvenir of my V70XC ownership, I have a case of Toyota Type TIV transmission fluid. I remember going through all sorts of discussion and trouble in selecting the correct fluid for the V70.
Will this fluid be suitable for the 240?

If it meets Dexron III or IV standrads you are fine. I am 95% sure it does but I (especially if it is in the gallon metal cans) it should tell you right on the package.
