Techron

What do you think about this stuff? Do you think it works to clean injectors?

    Techron

Amoco / Chevron Techron, with Techroline as the 'ingredient' can do well for your fuel injected engine.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techron

Why do you believe you have need for it? You mean as an occasional fuel tank additive before a fuel tank fill up?

Some gasoline brands include it as a regular additive. Though adding to your fuel tank in the bottle from the fuel mart of auto parts store may raise concentration with faster results in a fuel system with dissolvable deposits where fuel already passes through inside the fuel system.

Techron will also force deposits as the injector tip to open the spray pattern. It will also help to clean off valve stem build up.

Though no additive is a replacement for a properly tuned engine control system with regard to fuel management. Say, if the oxygen sensor or air mass meter is not working well due to wiring or sensor faults.

Do you have a poor tuning or poor running or check engine light on?

Adding the occasional bottle before a fill up won't hurt. The Chevron / Amoco guidance would have the auto owner pour an 8 or so $ bottle before each fillup. Most modern fuels have some sort of solvents in them above the gasoline mix of heptane, nonane, and most coveted, octane.

If a stupid ethanol blend, so we in the stupid U.S. states can subsidize Iowa and Illinois corn, methanol has a mild cleaning action and also gives an appearance or raising octane rating. Though to produce ethanol creates more pollution than merely prospecting, extracting, distilling, and delivering gasoline fuel to your fuel tank.

I won't give citations. Do some research. Ethanol is U.S. corporate subsidy BS.

    Sorry to digress.

Happy Mundane in the Yoo Ess Aaaaayyyyy, Fonzy.

    Unemployed Poor Nephew.
