Pertronix for Bosch 0 231 146 099 140-160

Hello:

My distributor says 0 231 146 099. Is there a Pertronix made for it? I don't see it listed.

    Hi David,

    For your 1971 Volvo 142 S, yes?

    The Bosch distributor PN Bosch 0 231 146 099 is a match for your U.S. 1971 Volvo 142 S.

On the Pertronix ignitor look up page:

    http://www.pertronix.com/support/ignitor-kit/default.aspx

You enter the Bosch number with hyphens. How they coded the field operation to parse it. Enter as:

    0-231-146-099

    The result is yes.

    Distributor ID 0-231-146-099 (Search Again)

So, you can use the Pertronix Ignitor 1 and Ignitor II. Though go to the page and search again as they display the infor more neatly than I can here for you.

I was told that the Ignitor II module was to tall to fit the Bosch Distributor. They may have changed the design so it does. It is a good one to have as its immune to the burn out if the ignition is left on, problem. Best to get confirmation from Pertronix before committing.
