Speedometer Drive Seals 1800 1971

Recently replaced the rear OD seal, but I'm still getting oil on the floor from back there. Must be the speedo drive, which I did rebuild some time ago. I know I have a new spare seal (the one that looks like a hat) and lots of O-rings. Any tips before I jack up the passenger side (to minimize leaking until I can put a wine bottle cork in there) and start this job?

Did you use this seal?

If you have a "J" overdrive then that is NOT the correct seal.

This is!!

Hello Eric

Is that seal part number 380752?

Do you have it in stock and how much are they?

thanks

That's the correct part number.

I have both Volvo and aftermarket versions of that seal.

The OE Volvo seal is $7.77 and the aftermarket seal is $4.00.

Thanks for putting me onto the right part, Planetman, and for the installation advice. Several long outings and nary a drop from the back end.
