Between you and Jon, interest in old Volvos by small animals is rising. Jon's post explains mysterious scratches I'd previously attributed to getting a twig wrapped around the driveshaft.
I've had a few encounters too, but not much damage. A big woodpecker would take out mirrors. Something chewed through our tank sender cable. And the warm engine, refuge for a woodchuck.
Chicken strips -- that's amazing. Especially that you didn't have fur or feather in evidence. Maybe from someone's trash.
