Tail Light Bulb Sockets Replaced - but now strange behavior 700

Left and Right Tail Light Bulb Sockets Replaced - but now strange behavior.

I replaced on both left and right side. They came with all bulbs.

Now - multiple bulbs light at the same time.

For example - rear left driver's side indicator when indicating lights 3 bulbs on that side at once. Or in Hazard Mode - these same three bulbs will flash.

Seems like a short but everything is new. Tried cleaning with electronic cleaner the multi-connector that powers each set of sockets.

Maybe I have the wrong bulb sockets? But it is the right size and fit unless the circuit changed on some models of 1990 740..?

Maybe someone has seen this strange behavior?

It sounds like you have the wrong sockets. Are they single or dual filament bulbs and sockets and do they match what you removed? -- Dave

The match exactly the old that came out.
The are single filament bulbs.

Turns out it is the connector on the light bulbs socket - push it one way it lights the correct bulbs, push the other way there are some shorts and more bulbs light.

Maybe faulty socket set and not helped by the old connector on the car side the circuit. So I just go to try another socket, and play around with it...
