2 mos ago I replaced the Od solenoid, It had been working fine,,& then just yesterday it failed to engage as i entered the interstate,went up to 65 & the rpm hit about 3800,failed to go into 4th//The light lites up & Ive tried clicking the button on the shifter & no luck,I just changed the ATF,,& added some Trans help & still no luck,,Anyone have any idea??

If the upshift reminder light is staying lit then the places I'd look -- 1. broken wire to the shifter switch (where it exits the shifter) - 2. switch itself - 3. relay (maybe needs re-soldering) -- Dave

I think in my case it was the relay overheating, due to bad solder joints.

I finally jacked it up & got under,,,,& the wire came undone!!
