can pre 1989 cruise control stalk be wired to work on post 1990 200

I have a NOS 1989 cruise control stalk and wonder if the connector on it can be changed to work on a 1990 with cruise control. Looking at the wiring diagrams they appear to be different. If possible I would cut the connector off of a broke 1990 stalk and splice it to the 1989.

    Al,

    You can very easily disassemble your stalk, clean, and then re-assemble it to work like new. Note, I just disassembled the base, not the stalk per-say, but I was able to verify that everything in the stalk worked before putting it back together.

    I just did this on my 90' and all is now well in the world. While apart I placed dielectric grease on the internals and then put it back together.

    I used a two part epoxy to hold it together when I was done, and now for the life of me I can't remember the name.

    If you have questions, I'll try to guide you through.
