240 fuel filter 200

ordered a 245 fuel filter from e-euro parts. Picked Bosch, got a 71005 / 0 450 905 200 85e high filtration level, instead of the regular one. Mid 20's price. Asked the difference between regular and high filtration except higher cost. Was told one filters regular, and the other probably filters high. Anyway, one of the other, cheaper filters Mann? which is also a good German brand, says it is cross over to the HIGH filtration Bosch filter, NOT the regular one. Next time will get the cheaper but equal to the better Bosch unit and save some money. Still don't know the actual difference, neither does e-euro. I'm just biased towards better fluids and filters. Just FYI.

you can buy a WIX filter, available at most auto parts stores like NAPA.

my big question was....what is the difference between the regular, normal fuel filter that we all use and the Bosch extra high filter that is apparently matched by the Mann filter? Is it for better filtering as in a 3rd world country? For use if you buy from discount gas stations instead of "top tier' gas stations (including Costco discount gas, which is top tier), or what?
As far as NAPA, I don't know anything bad about WIX, but I do know parts from Autozone, O Reily, and Advance are often much higher than e-euro, Rock Auto, and even IPD, and typically names I have never heard of. And, often trying to get a Volvo part from Autozone, etc. requires special order and two day delay, which puts it competing with my normal Volvo suppliers in delivery time but at a higher price. Check the price on the fuel pump relay under the glove box.....tremendous differences. Thanks!
