Photobucket work around for Chrome users

One of the blogs I follow (justacarguy.blogspot.com) posted information yesterday that would indicate that Chrome users have a work around to view photobucket images.

Before I tried it I looked back through some of my old posts that included images on Photobucket. I found that I was able to view my images hosted by Photobucket in my old posts. I have no idea of why that might be after not being able to see them for quite some time.

Whatever, Jesse posted the work around and I will share the link:

Anyone truly fed up with Photobucket should remove all their stuff from it and walk away completely. That's what I did. Inexcusable the way they treated their clients.

That's a great work-around Mr. Starkie! Be nice to do so with Mozilla FireFox.

Though I suspect Photobucket would get wise. I'll check it up.

+1 ... Say no to Photobucket.

Photobucket policies with your images you post there, the JavaScript (or ECMAScript) advertising framework, the innumerable third-party cookies, the need to have to register a paying account to show your images on other sites such as the brickboard and turbobricks ...

See the many, many, many turbobricks threads that no longer show all the critically useful images in those posts ... replaced by the "user needs to upgrade to a [paying] account" image.

For your Volvo related images, use the BrickPix https://www.brickboard.com/GALLERY/ here, and reference the images anywhere else using a wee bit of easy (for me) HTML.

BrickPix allows an image file size (length), of any image pixel size, of no more than one megabyte (1024 megabytes) in spite of the dated information there indicating a max image pixel size size of 640 wide by 640 tall. Jarrod could update the info.

Also, (in Old Duke speak), Arty B's instruction, add Imgur (https://imgur.com/) to the list you see here in bright and happy yellow:

As to Web browsers ...

Finally, at least on Windows, I use Mozilla FireFox Quantum version 57+.

Turn off third-party cookies in preferences, lest you need them for a session.

And use the uBlock Origin (UO) for Mozilla and Chromium browsers as your ad and popup blocker.

No UO for IE, Edge, and on Mac OS and iOS, Safari.

Don't use MS Internet Explorer or Edge. Exploit haven, still.

Though I use Opera 12.18, the last Presto layout engine forever, for usually JavaScript free (off) and media-free browsing. Though Opera 12.x has a bug with using OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates.

The web browser makers for too long allow far too much control by the websites and their JavaScript (ECMAScript) runtimes (or 'engines'). Though you may disallow browser pop-ups in the browser preference, you will encounter pop-ups. So, uBlock Origin for Mozilla and Chromium browsers.

And clear the browser cache and history fully between sessions.

Hope the co-tangent halps.

Frosty yet Lonely Sat-Your-Day MacDuffed.

Nice!!!! Absolutely lovely!!!

Yep, Imgur appears user useful.

Where do you motor your 282? Do you take it to the track? I'll bet your highways and roads are way better than that city with the Arches and baseball cardinals where I suffer.

I ask that as with the rotten roads, weird highway interchanges, nasty motorists with some glued to their mobile devices as they drive, and more, stock is okay for here. I'd fancy modding with very mild +Turbo as they mention on the 240 fan club and the large Turbobricks page in the face-space-book.

Also, why not a V6 swap from some make / model of modern V6. My performance ambitions have well faded since the 1980s beyond an A, B, or K-cam on the redblock with all else stock. Well, that and still no garage ...

Glad you like the V8 Volvo facebook page!!!

Cheers and happy Tuesday! Thank you.
