Can someone please help me figure out what and where I can get a few of those tiny little push in light bulbs that go into the aux gauges on my 88 245? Its the same bulb as in the light bar for heater control panel and hazard flash button but I seem to be having trouble deciding what it is.. I don't want led or anything just the plain incandescent style... The original bulb has writing on it but my old eyes can't see it.

I took it to local NAPA parts store but the bulbs they have look similar but the bases are ever so slightly too wide.. Any help appreciated.. thx.

On a related note,

are LED bulbs available?

on the far right of the dash, where the fuel gauge is, it's dark compared to the rest of the instrument panel. That's the case even when I have the brightness turned up full. I checked the back that corresponds to the far right, but did not feel any areas that bulbs fit. Any ideas?

You would think that the bulbs for illuminating the gauges inside the cluster would be in the back, but nooooooooooo!

Anyway, there are 3 bulbs that are mounted to the dash above the cluster.

You have to remove the cluster to access them and they are clipped to the metal dash structure that is located above the cluster.

For some reason, these bulbs are hard to find, but I have them in stock.

The style and shape of pins on the side of the bulb are different. See the image below.

There are LED replacements, but if you get bulbs that are too bright you can't dim them properly with the stock dimmer.
