Clock Stops when Cold 700 1990

I noticed last year and again this year that my dash clock seems to stop when it gets really cold out.

Is this likely a problem with the clock or a connection/ instrument panel problem?

Thanks!

Likely gummed up internals. Old lube gets duerty and stiff. Some have had success partially disassembling, cleaning and using the proper lube.

Try googling and / or search this forum.

Thanks, that did not occur to me.

New clocks are actually still available from Volvo for like $68 bucks. Maybe I'll pick one up.

It only seems to do it when it for the coldest couple of weeks of the year so I might just look at my iPhone for that stretch of the year.
