What I miss 200

Gentlepersons,

Some of you might remember me, but I have moved on car wise to C30, XC70, and Boxster 986S. Those cars have a much more limited help range on BB despite some help on the C30 and XC70. In short, what I am saying is that I miss this 200 forum and the help of those like Art offer. On the Porsche front, I put out a question and I'm told to take it to the dealer for diagnosis and/or repair. What they are saying is that take it to a place that charges $680 for a 9.8 quart oil change.

After building Bleen, for those that remember, I'm thinking of another 240, just a wee bit different, I look forward to the 200 BB once again.

Once again, Art and the likes, thank you so much for your help!

Jorrell - I had a 987S Cayman that I serviced myself. What’s your question? Maybe I can help.

What I miss 200

hi john,
yes, well understood. i still take care of my 86 245 that my wife bought new, and the other 2 volvos.

since you mentioned it, i haven't seen your posts for a while.

you might have to look beyond your state for another 240 in good condition.

bb is a family of sorts, with great people and contributors.

miss those who have given up their volvos or never bought another, and those who have passed on, but always glad to see returning members.

regards,

Good your back. Ranks are getting mighty thin. You always made me think of Superman's father.

Thanks for the kudos John, but it reminds me maybe I talk too much.

I'm lucky in one respect; my family tolerates having nothing but 240s which are the "open systems" equivalent (Bosch may disagree) of all cars. I suspect you're frustrated by the proprietary aspect of new car ownership, as I would be.

Good luck in your search for a 240 you like, from some place without salted roads. We miss your help and haven't heard much lately from the subsequent owner of Bleen, since he moved more South.

What I miss 200

Hi,

I missed you for quite sometime.
I have looked up your profile to see when you last visited.
Yep, you abandoned the 200’s all right.
I guess you found that good job and moved on to more exotic Volvo’s.
All that comes with posh!

A Porsche! Well you should have know better but the 240 Swede machine couldn’t keep you from driving in any wrong direction.
Even with on board navigation systems, in the newer cars, getting their information from outer space, can you find your inner space of contentment with that experience you now have!
We live and learn!

Welcome back to the friendly side of the slower life!

Phil
