I'm reinstalling dual SUs on my '67 220. Where do the throttle springs hook on the engine / manifold ? They were long gone since I have owned the car.

Early carbs had Throttle Return Springs hooked to these heavy loop-washers (Blue) under Manifold Bolts (later, three-bolt carbs had TRS contained on throttle-shafts, so they did not need these loop-washers).

The washers retaining the manifold that correspond to the throttle lever were special, with a built in hole for the spring to hook onto. -- Dave
