Speedometer issue 120-130

Today started a new problem. While on the Highway, once I hit 65 MPH the speedometer climbs to 110 MPH. When I slow down below 50 it is normal. Never seen this before. Has anyone ever had such an experience ?

Blindboy--The speedo on a 122 is cable driven. My early model 144 ('67-'72) has the same "ribbon" type speedo display. It started to act 'funny". I took it apart and found a nut at the end of the drum had loosened. The nut was sensitive to tightness and worked ok after monkeying around with it. Maybe your problem as well? - Dave
