Go to the junk yard and look at seats that are not too old - S40, S60, or XC70.
Junk yards are strictly supply and demand - new seats can actually be cheaper than old ones. Look for a car that has its windows still intact and closed - perhaps if the yard has several of the car in question the price will be better.
If you have no AC, get cloth seats.
I found a nice set of 850 seats for my 544 - grey cloth - my big mistake? - not getting the back seat as well.
Auto restorer had an article on narrowing a modern seat one month after I got my 850 seats.
BTW - the passenger seat in 850s folds! Also, it is possible to lower an 850 seat a couple of inches in the frame.
To mount the seat I ground the mounts off and had 2 3"X1/2" aluminum bars welded on. I made a !/2" aluminum plate to bolt to the 544 mounts, and bolted the 850 seat to the plate - it is still electrically adjusted, the passenger seat is manual. I disabled the side air bag, but I could have retained it as it is not electrical.
