All,

This week I dropped my youngest off back to school at NC State with his lovely 1990, 240 wagon.

It is in my humble opinion, now a very reliable car, however, I'm stuck here in Maryland and cannot make the 5 to 6 hour trek, depending on DC traffic if he has an issue with the car. I can however have it taken to a mechanic to fix it if need be.

So to any of you out there in the Raleigh/Durham NC State area that have a mechanic/INDY that you implicitly trust and have used for sometime, like years, Please, Please let me know so that I can have a number or numbers handy in case of emergencies.

If you have AAA or other like auto club membership, ask them.

Verify with the BBB and opinion or review comments such as Google maps, Yelp, and other social media. Ask the shop the hourly rate. Ask them if they can service 240. A service technician trained on more modern Europa imports should not be stumped by US 1990 Volvo 240 engine control, electrics, emissions, mechanics and such. Though a service technician familiar with RWD Volvo before 1995 helps.
