My wagon has a black hollow plastic tube running from the front side windshield above the entire top of doors to the rear window top is this decorative or does it serve as a drain?

Is that inside or outside??On my 940,,,the tube goes from the roof drain from the sunroof down the A pillar at front doors

outside above the doors running along the side of the roof on both sides.
