The heat still comes through regardless of the position the c/h dial is on.
The heater valve is only 2 yrs old.When I have the car running there is no vacuum on the line from the dash to the heater valve.I took it off while running pe any idea what causes that??

    Hope you're well. Have a read of the FAQs. Over time, the climate control units may develop micro-cracks in the solder joints. The FAQs show how to access the problem areas and to do the repair.

        Dear Blindboy,

        Hope you're well. Intermittency in climate controller operation often results from micro-cracks in control board solder joints. Getting to the controller is time-consuming. To close the micro-cracks - invisible to the unaided eye - you'll need a low-power (25 watt) soldering iron.

        There's also a possibility that a "servomotor" - in the system mounted in duct-work to the left of the air-conditioning evaporator - has failed. If I recall correctly, such failure results in permanent "heat", if the motor fails with its "door" - a plastic flap - is in the closed position. These servomotors seem quite durable, so I mention this only as an outside possibility.

          Finally figurd it out!!! the black white vac chck valve was upside down,& I also install a differnt fan/ac/heater now I have cool air blowing out on the floor!!

          I realized that there is no vacuum at the hard plastic tube coming threw the firewall.Is the controller board in the heat/cool /fan unit above the radio??

    I feel no vacuum coming from the line from the firewall

      Usually that taps into a T-fitting in the engine bay. Check those hoses for cracks/splits etc.
