Low Oil Pressure after rebuild 120-130

Newly rebuilt 68 122s B18. Installed and runs beautifully, very strong sounding motor. Starts right up. BUT, low oil pressure, not enough to top of engine. Has heavy duty oil pump. Everything balanced, rebuilt, replaced with top quality parts. Any ideas about low oil pressure? Thank you.

Low Oil Pressure after rebuild 120-130

Oil pick-up pipe O ring damaged, distorted, out of position or maybe even missing? B18 sump plate has to be modified to use the current B20 pump. B18 pump NLA. If the sump isn't modified it can skew the pick-up and cause it to suck air, hence low oil pressure.

Did you remember to install the oil squirter for the timing gears?

Husband did ask machinist and he said the "oil squirter" was left off. We have ordered what I believe is the correct part. Husband will also check through all of your suggested possible errors... THANK YOU. Great help here!
