Greeting from SB 200 1987

Hi All,

Greeting from SB.

I put over 200,000 miles since I bought it in 2011. On the odometer, it shows 335,000 miles + 1000 miles (accumulated miles during the odometer not working after I accidentally pushed the trip meter button)

The car runs well, it took a sun beating in Florida. The paint is not shiny anymore. The rust is minimal except the tailgate window area. The cat that I bought from FCP is on it way out. I called and they will replace a new one at no charge. The transmission slipped once at the stop sign about two months ago, I flushed it and it's running good so far.

I have the original front wheel bearing and heater core control valve. :)

A 2001 V70 followed me home, you can read it all about on the AWD section. It has a comfy ride like my 240 but it will take time to prove to me in coming years.

I hope everyone is well. Be safe and be well. Thank you as always.

Cheers
Since the Maryland LockUDown hit in March --- 3 days before my 69th birthday(happy birthday: YOU ARE AT RISK OF DYING IF YOU CATCH IT).
I've filled the gas tank 4 times.

Hi Charles,

We are going to die at some point, let's not forget to enjoy the moment.

Be safe and be well.

Lots of luck with your new ride SB. You know I'm a firm believer in the 245 as just about the best vehicle on earth but the 2002 S40 we put on the road has been a good car for making our periodic NC trips. - Dave

Hi Dave,

After owning my 240 less than 10 years, I see why we like the 240 so much. The car wont' die and keeps on running. The parts are relatively affordable. The V70 parts are expensive.

Stay safe and be well. Thank you as always.
