Power steering hose fittings 140-160

The power steering lines in my 1973 145 have disintegrated. It looks like I'll be making some new lines. Does anyone know the thread type/size at the box & pump? Since I'm starting fresh, I'm open to swapping out the banjos for another type of fitting. Nothing against banjos, I just happened to find a few sets of DIY line kits on speedway motors and none come with banjos.

And this is why it's always good to ask.... I didn't know they could make hoses like that.

I've used a shop that specializes in making hydraulic lines/hoses and gave them the old hoses (banjos were in good shape) and they used the old banjos to make the new hoses. - Dave

A good portion of high pressure hydraulic lines are made with fittings that have replaceable crimping sleeves so that the hose section can be replaced by removing the crimp and reusing the fittings.

We have used a shop nearby creatively called "Mr Hose".

FYI, we bought the tools and supplies to replace the braided steel hose for both lengths of oil pressure hose used on all of the 1800 Volvos because the new ones being sold didn't have the correct fitting on 1 side.

Just take the old hose's to a auto parts store like a NAPA and they can make up new ones usuing you old fittings.
