1988 740 code retrieval 700

I was wondering if there is a test wire for code retrieval for my 1988 745t engine. There is test wires on the passenger side of engine for basic idle setting and another test wire for AMM / O2 sensor settings. I was wondering what the test wire on the driver side are for? Didn't know if this engine uses a flash (blinking light) codes. My car runs fine but, wondering if there is a faster way to diagnose any problems ?

1988 740 code retrieval Red/ Yellow wire on driver side fender. 700

Guess what I'm fishing for is , What are the red/yellow wire and pink wire for on the driver side fender. I know the passenger side fender has a green/white and a red/white wire to set the idle base speed and set the parameters of the AMM and O2 sensor.

Yes on the 700 with EZ117K ignition, I think you need to supply your own blinkety light (test diode) as described in the FAQ list posted above. Just for ignition. AMM adjustment for LH2.2 is just a way to see the oxygen sensor before the days of high-impedance multimeters. No real OBD1.
