Anyone ever bench tested one? If so, how?

Cruise Control Vacuum Pump Testing?

Yes, I have tested them. I got a three wire connector from a self serve scrap yard. One wire is ground (Y-R), the second wire (GN-Y) powers the vacuum pump, the third wire (OR) vents the vacuum system. Leaving the vacuum pump connected to the servo I connected the ground and powered the system. The rubber servo should collapse, pulling on the throttle. Disconnecting the power to the pump, the servo shouldn't move. Touching the power to the orange wire should vent the system and allow the servo to collapse, closing the throttle.

Please verify the colors used on your car before testing.

John - in this case, if you have a cruise control system that will accelerate as it should, but will not set, what could be the issue?
