My passenger side cornering light lens is missing. The assembly is all there and the signaling light works fine, but without that little plastic cover the cavity is exposed. Problem is, I can't find anybody selling just the lens online, let alone the part number. I don't want to buy an entire assembly just for the little piece of plastic.

A guy as my local auto parts store recommended I use headlight tape in the meantime. Any suggestions as to how I can track down that lens cap thing?

This happened to our 745 - Volvo only sells the entire assembly including the bulb! Try one of the used Volvo parts sellers or the pick and pull - most do a lot of business over the internet or by phone (once they used teletype!)

Check the other side, the gray epoxy is probably dried out. Re-epoxy it to save that side.

If the lens has hairline cracks, give it a wet coat of acetone (or Testors liquid plastic glue). A quick wet coat will fill the cracks - if you brush the wet plastic, you will get brush marks.
