    Hi Zack,

If you have a good glass that you want to reseal, most auto glass places carry rolls of generic rubber gasket in various widths. Volvo used 1 inch on 240's without the chrome. Some like the wider 1 1/4 inch. About $15 the last time I bought one.

I reently replaced my 2 - 240s with new windshields - rubber molding comes with it - but make sure they pre-dry fit it and install shims at the bottom
If they use butyl it will tend to settle drop doen in a few months - butyl is O/E recommended
They will insist on urethane - but when I used urethane it was hard as a rock - allowed no play for expansion/contraction and you could here it 'snap' under hot conditions.

I used to install windshields so I know - also on rough roads with the urethane having no 'give' it will crack your windshield as well.

Insist on butyl - auto body supply places sell it

Ask for a 1993 W/S series when ordering - they fit all 240s and are nicely tinted

I did my 1980 and 1993 240 with great results

The only new windshields available are the "flush fit" type that came on the newer 240's. They come with the trim installed around them. You simply clean up the pinch weld, put your new goop-of-choice down, and glue them into place.
