If your problem is frayed insulation where those wires pass under the crank pulley BUT the wires going in to the Connectors at each end are solid.... the easy/cheap way is to splice new wires.

get color matched small spools at auto parts or electric supply store, if you are fastidious. If not get just splice in new wire--colors do not matter

There are only 3 wires

If there isn't enough wiring at either end OR the connecor themselves are shot then--- no dice.
