Differential ID tag? 1800 1970

I just serviced my differential to change the lubricant. Apparently this year model doesn't have a drain plug mentioned in a manual, so the cover has to be removed to drain the oil. In doing so, I noticed a copper tag attached to one of the bolts that was stamped as: 43-10 and 4.30. Can anyone decipher what those numbers mean? Do one of the numbers identify this differential as "limited slip"? Thanks,

There's a simple test to determine the type of diff.
Jack up the rear and put the axle on stands, make sure the wheels can turn freely.

Grab one wheel and rotate it. If the other wheel rotates in the opposite direction, it's a normal diff. If it rotates in the same direction, it's a limited slip diff.

Thanks for the LSD description to determine whether or not my diff is LSD or not. Jacked it up and spun the wheel and noticed the other wheel spun in the opposite direction = non-LSD.

4.30 is the diff gear ratio . All EFI 70-73 1800’s have this diff. I’m surprised you don’t have a drain plug on the diff. Same Diff from 70-73. No, that tag doesn’t mean you have an LSD. Maybe your rear end was swapped out by a PO?

If an 1800E or 1800ES came with an M41 transmission, it came with 4.30 gears.

If an 1800E or 1800ES came with a BW35 automatic transmission, it came with either 3.91 or 4.10 gears.

And IIRC, we've seen some 1800E/ES disc brake rear ends that didn't have a drain plug.
