If I take it literally, then something has already been arranged. Please tell us about it some more.

Or did you mean to ask tips, hints and so on?

Volvo 240 Wagon new to you! 200

+++++++1 on Dave Stevens and how we are here to help you at the world's mightiest and most powerful website in perpetuity.

There exist sites with reference to factory service manuals and other printed resources usually in PDF files.

To better help you, could you please list model year, automatic or manual gearbox, miles and other stuff so brickboard forum members can suggest preventive service and repair.

You can read about Stage zero (factory tune) with the result of your Volvo 245 being near factory running condition yet with years and miles.

Some 240 model years share the same engine control, more of less, with the same or adjacent model year engine control system and other bit. Structurally the 240 is a rather different sheet and plate steel construction from the 700 / 900 models years. Click FAQ at the top of every brickboard page.

For 240, the Bentley 240 Service manual is best as it is in publication. Haynes offers a production year range for each period before a 240 revision such as switch from K-jetronic ot LH-Jetronic, more of less.

There is an errata notes page here on the brickboard for the Bentley manual. The Haynes manual appears to have a few inaccuracies.

The very best folks are here on the brickboard to help and guide.

    Questions, please?

    Hope that helps.

    cheers,

    B.

And we are here to help you keep 245 in good condition, not rusting, AC cooling and engine injecting (sorry, I'm in a very silly mood today)
Moving up from your '68 122 to the world of 240s is both a major leap forward in technology and a minor step backward in terms of fun driving and pride of classic Volvo ownership.
