There are at least two type exhaust manifolds that will fit a 940 turbo. One has round pipes and has reinforcing ribs between the 4 inlet ports, and one has rectanguler pipes and no ribs between the 4 inlet ports.

Does anyone know whether these two exhaust manifolds are interchangeable? I'm sure the inlet ports align the same, but would the same turbo fit both manifolds, and would the outlet from the turbo to the exhaust pipe align the same?

I have a 92 940 turbo which has the exhaust manifold with the round pipes, and I'm wondering whether the exhaust manifold with the rectangular pipes is a direct replacement. My exhaust manifold is cracked.
