Anyone familiar with the koni strut insert

I'm in need of a front strut insert upgrade. Did em over a year ago, but the pothole laden streets of New York city are none too kind and one of my inserts is making that familiar sound when I apply siginificant pressure from above. Its nowhere near as bad as when I originally replaced them, I could hear the strut make that hiccup sound going over bumps...which was nerve-wracking, but now its only when I bounce it from above....

ANyways, trying to decide if the Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty's are worth it or the Koni Yellows....?

The Koni's are adjustable which sounds pretty great in theory, but not sure. Any experience with either would be helpful.

Happy Memorial Day everybody.

Thanks

I think durability comes with quality whatever the dampening. I'd suggest any good low pressure gas shock adjustable or not. The stiffness should be matched to the spring rate. Stiff springs need stiff shocks to dampen their oscillations.

Opening for a joke here: In the never ending effort of cities to limit traffic speed, they've hit on not fixing pot holes as cheaper than installing speed bumps.

Something to bear in mind is the Bilstein heavy duty will give a stiff ride. Are you okay with that? My personal preference would be the Konis because of their adjustability. Also, as the strut insert wears you can adjust them. At one time Konis had a lifetime warranty. Don’t know if that is the case anymore??

not gonna lie, I was already leaning towards the Koni's.

Mainly because of the adjustability and then also cause I've heard the HD Bilsteins were pretty stiff...more for racing I guess.

      The adjustability is KEY!

Thanks for helping me to solidify my leanings

There is a thread on turbobricks (https://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?p=6197747) that states when Bilstein HDs fail, they do not fail kindly as in taking strut mounts and wheels with them.
